Chapter 6.1: Points that influence the quality of energy. Located on the surface immediately over the organs.
Mu-Front Points
Found as a pain point (Alarm) on the anterior (Yin) surface of an organ. When needled, alleviates pain and treats dysfunction. Three uses:
No quantitative increase in energy — only qualitative improvement.
Back-Shu Points
A positive reaction point (tenderness, nodules, muscle tension) on the posterior (Yang) surface. When needled, the reaction diminishes. Three uses:
The quality of Yin is to COOL and CALM. The quality of Yang is to FUNCTION and to WARM.
