Key Stoic teachings with contextual quotes, explanation layers, and real-life application prompts.

History

Founded by Zeno of Citium (~300 BCE) in Athens, taught at the Stoa Poikile (painted porch). Developed by Cleanthes and Chrysippus into a full system of logic, physics, and ethics. Roman Stoicism (Seneca, Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius) made it practical — a philosophy for staying stable when the world is not stable.
