Foot Great Yang · Water Element · Coupled with Kidney · Longest Meridian
Pathway
Begins at inner canthus (UB 1), flows to vertex running parallel to midline, over occiput. At occiput divides into two parallel lines down the back (become one again at knee). Flows on back of calf to lateral side of foot, ends at lateral corner of little toe (UB 67). Connects to K 1. Inner branches: meet Du 20 at vertex, enter brain. At lumbar region enters body to Kidney and Urinary Bladder.

Back-Shu Points (on UB meridian)
Points on posterior surface related to each of the 12 organs — mainly used to improve their functions. Also used with cupping, moxa, massage.
Key Points
Organ Clock
Peak Energy: 3–5 PM · Minimum Energy: 3–5 AM
Feeling tired at 3–5 PM = Lung deficiency (minimum energy time). Waking 3–5 AM with backache = UB deficiency (Yang deficient pain — Yin type, occurs at rest).
Interactive Point Tracer
Coupled meridian: Kidney (Yin) ⇄ Urinary Bladder (Yang). The Luo-connecting point links them.
Do you wake at 3-5 AM with backache? How's your fear (the Kidney/UB emotion) — are you running from something or standing firm?
