Pathway
Starts on medial side of big toe (Sp 1), flows upwards along medial side of foot and leg. The Yang gives tension to tendon and muscle — weakness of Spleen Yang may cause hallux valgus. Flows on medial leg to abdomen (lateral to Stomach meridian), then at thorax turns to side, ends at mid-axillary line (Sp 21). Inner branch connects with Stomach and Spleen, passes through diaphragm, runs along oesophagus, ends at base of tongue.

Organ Clock
Peak Energy: 9–11 AM · Minimum Energy: 9–11 PM
Note: Locating Sp 6–9
Liver meridian is most anterior, Spleen is 'in a good hole behind the tibia,' and Kidney is directly above K 3 (between malleolus prominence and Achilles tendon). Differentiate carefully — creating new symptoms by needling wrong meridian!
Interactive Point Tracer
