Eleven areas of self-care, simple healing techniques for your family, and Heyoan's self-healing meditation — the practical path to maintaining health.
Self-Responsibility
You and only you are responsible for your health. If you have a physical problem, you make the final decision. Only with the greatest of care should you make these decisions.
If you don't trust a diagnosis, get a second or third opinion. Take charge of your health. Don't let yourself be limited by a negative prognosis — take it as a message to look deeper and wider. The search will change your life in ways you'd never expect.
The Most Important Principles
The Future/Past Meditation
Brennan's favorite meditation, given by Emmanuel:
Sit comfortably, back straight. Pay attention to your breathing. Breathe in and out.
With each inbreath, breathe in the future and all its potent possibilities. As you breathe out, breathe out the past and all that went with it.
For what you breathe in is the future and what you breathe out is the past. Let the past go. Breathe in the future and all that you wish to create. Breathe out the past and all those false limitations you place upon yourself.
The future does not have to have anything to do with the past. Let the past go. Continue to breathe in the future and breathe out the past.
See your past lifetimes flowing out behind you, and your future lifetimes flowing toward you. You are the central point of consciousness. You exist outside the boundaries of time.
In that moment of pause between the inbreath of the future and the outbreath of the past, you slip into the eternal now.
11 Areas of Self-Care
1. Meditation
Daily practice. Use the future/past meditation, "Be still and know that I am God," or counting to 10. Find what works for you.
2. Physical Exercise
Aerobics, nautilus, yoga, martial arts, swimming, jogging. What gives you the most pleasure? Do it.
3. Good Food
Macrobiotic-style. Little meat (no red meat). Organic. Balanced grains, vegetables, salads, some fruit. Eat seasonally. If doing healing work, supplement with multi-mineral/vitamin, extra calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamin C. What you crave is usually what you're allergic to — don't eat it for 3-10 days.
4. Good Hygiene
pH-balanced soaps (maintain the skin's acid mantle). Use a shower brush. Natural, hypoallergenic, nontoxic products. Floss daily. For gum problems: 1 part salt to 8 parts baking soda.
5. Rest
Listen to your body. When tired, rest — no matter the time. If you lie down immediately, it takes only half an hour to regain energy.
6. Clothing
Natural fibers (cotton, silk, wool) enhance the aura. Avoid acrylics, many polyesters, nylon (especially stockings — interfere with energy flow up legs). When "nothing to wear," you may need a color that isn't in your closet.
7. Home
Space and light you need. Plants lend healing energy. Fresh air — get an ionizer if needed. Get rid of fluorescent lights — they interfere with aura pulsation. Use incandescent.
8. Pleasure
Budget pleasure time just as you do work time. Do what you always wanted to do. Laugh regularly. Discover the child in you.
9. Personal Challenge
That which you've always wanted to do — this is the year. Your deepest inner longing is precisely what you came into this life to do. Start now.
10. Intimacy & Friends
Find what intimacy means for you. Take a chance — tell someone you like them. You'll be surprised how well it works.
11. Self-Care in Illness
Find health care professionals you trust before you need them. Learn homeopathy for family care. Homeopathy + simple laying-on of hands handles most childhood problems.
Simple Healing Techniques for Family
Brennan recommends these for family use:
If You Are Sick
Heyoan's Self-Healing Meditation
Step 1: Scan Your Body
Scan in any way: inner sight, intuition, feeling sense. Find the area you're most concerned about. If no problem area, focus on something happening in your life.
Step 2: Give It Form
Give it form, color, substance, shape, density. Is it sharp or dull? Does it ache? Is it new or old? What is your habitual response — and does it work? If the pain is still there, your habitual response is completely wrong.
Step 3: Why Did You Create This?
Why would you create such pain? What can you learn? What is the situation saying to you? Until you learn the lesson, you will continue to create it. You are your best teacher; you have designed your lessons well.
Step 4: Find the Fear
Put your hands there. Merge your greater consciousness into that place. Find the nature of the fear. When you sense it, feel it with love. Any illness is a direct result of not fully loving yourself — not fully following what you wish to do.
Key Teaching
The lesson is never about something you have done wrong or something bad about you. It is about how you have not been loving who you are, cherishing yourself in order to be who you are. This is the basis of all healing.

Which character structure quiz result did you get? How does 'health is being yourself' land for you?
