Key Points

Liver — An Extreme Yin Organ

Liver has a high Yin to Yang ratio and can quickly inter-transform into Yang. This is why placid people can explode suddenly over a small issue. Take care not to over-tonify Liver Yin — could get more Yang symptoms.

Organ Clock

Peak Energy: 1–3 AM · Minimum Energy: 1–3 PM

Liver is associated with anger — suppressed anger increases Liver Yin, which can inter-transform to Yang (explosion). Aggressive personalities have high Liver Yang consuming Liver Yin over time.

Reflect

Do you wake at 1-3 AM unable to sleep? How is your anger — expressed or suppressed? What is your Liver trying to detox — physically and emotionally?
