A gentle practice of following the natural breath, returning whenever the mind wanders. This is the foundation of contemplative practice across all traditions.
Guidance
Find a comfortable seated position. Close your eyes or soften your gaze. Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing. You do not need to change it. When your attention drifts — and it will — gently notice where it went, and return to the breath. This returning is the practice. Each return strengthens awareness. Continue for the full session. When finished, take a moment to notice how you feel before opening your eyes.
