Trains binocular coordination — ensuring both eyes communicate perfectly with the brain to generate true 3D depth. These guided exercises simulate VR therapy concepts in a web browser.

Note: True dichoptic training requires a VR headset (Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro) that can split the image feed to each eye separately. These exercises simulate the concepts and provide guided practice. For clinical vision therapy, consult an optometrist and consider apps like Optics Trainer VR or Equal Eyes VR.
Exercise 1: Brock String
A classic vision therapy exercise for convergence and binocular fusion. Uses a physical string with beads at different distances.

Far
Setup: Hold a string to your nose. The other end attaches to a wall or doorknob at eye level. Place 3 beads at different distances along the string.
Practice: Focus on each bead in sequence. You should see an "X" formed by the string crossing at the bead. If the X is at the bead, both eyes are working together.
Follow along: The highlighted bead shows where to focus. Shift your gaze when it moves.
Exercise 2: Depth Perception Cards
Simulates polarized depth perception card matching. Identify which shape appears closer based on subtle size differences — the difference shrinks each round.
Which shape appears closer to you? The size difference gets smaller each round. One wrong = game over.
Exercise 3: 3D Space Tracking
Track an object as it moves through simulated 3D space. The object changes depth (size) while moving in a figure-8 pattern, training smooth pursuit with depth perception.
Follow the object with your eyes as it moves in a figure-8 pattern, changing depth (size). Train smooth pursuit and depth tracking.
How did the VR vision therapy exercises feel? Did you notice improvement in convergence or depth perception?
