Sacred sexual practice — uniting Shiva and Shakti through the Infinity Breath
Purpose
In Tantric cosmology, the universe is created and sustained by Shiva (masculine — the permanent aspect of God) and Shakti (feminine — who creates life). This practice unites these forces through the Infinity Breath, creating the violet flame of resurrection and transformation through sexual energy.
Prerequisites
Shiva & Shakti
In Tantric cosmology, the universe is created and sustained by two fundamental forces: Shiva (masculine — the permanent aspect of God) and Shakti (feminine — who creates life). When the masculine is united with the feminine, he has the power to create. There is no masculine power (Shiva) without its feminine aspect (Shakti). The key is to realize the unity of both as one.
The Practice
Both partners sit in a Shiva-Shakti Tantra pose. Enter the sacred space of the heart. See your partner as a divine God or Goddess. Begin the polar Ujjayi breath. Create the infinity pattern, accelerating to bi-directional golden energy. Expand golden light through your bodies. Practice Kechari Mudra (tongue on roof of mouth).
Sexual Energy & the Figure-8
Connect the sexual organs and let the Tantra energy build up. Be patient — do not force the release of orgasm through physical movement. Focus on the movement of the figure-8 pattern and the Ujjayi breath. Connect your hearts as one being so the sexual energy naturally builds.
At Orgasm — The Violet Flame of Resurrection
When orgasm begins, with your intention, move the sexual energy that was released into your heart. For males: send this energy upwards from the heart to the back (arrow #1). For females: send this energy downwards (arrow #1). Both complete the full figure-8 (arrows 2-3-4-5-6). Speed up this energy so the pattern transforms to bi-directional, meets in the heart, and mixes with the threefold flame — creating a violet flame of resurrection and transformation. Expand this energy through your entire body.
Closing — Anjali Mudra
When you wish to finish, honor your partner as part of you and see their divinity. Bring your hands together in Anjali Mudra (prayer position), place it on top of your head, then move your hands to in front of your chest and honor your partner. Say 'Namaste' — 'The Spirit within me salutes the Spirit in you.'
