Observing Auras in Therapy

What emotions, thoughts, and experiences look like in the human energy field — colors of feelings, drug effects, dissociated thought forms, and therapy session observations.

The Quiescent Aura

The normal, quiet aura has a dark bluish-purple or clear pulsating layer out to a quarter inch to one and a half inches from the skin, pulsating at about 15 cycles per minute. The pulsations form wave-like motions down the arms, legs, and torso.

It's surrounded by a light blue to gray hazy layer, brighter close to the body, fading with distance. The blue turns to yellow around the head at about 3-4 inches. Streamers of lighter blue come off the fingertips, toes, and top of the head.

Emotions in the Aura

When a person has a strong feeling, the quiescent aura is permeated with another color and form correlating to the emotional state. After the feeling tones down, the aura regains its original appearance.

Anger (expressed)

Dark red

Shoots off in flashes like lightning bolts or round sparks moving away from the person

Anger (turned inward)

Red moving to heart

Red spot moves back into the heart area. Person stabs themselves with their own anger

Bright life force

Bright red-orange

NOT anger — vibrant, healthy life force radiating from the body

Fear

Whitish-gray, prickly

Unpleasant looking, repulsive odor. 'White with fear'

Envy

Dark, dirty green, sticky

'Green with envy' — clinging, unpleasant texture

Sadness

Dark gray, heavy

Like dark clouds over the head — heavy, sinking energy

Frustration/Irritability

Dark reddish tones

Irregular vibrations that beat against another's field, causing unpleasant sensations

Love

Soft rose

Glowing, beautiful, sometimes with gold

Spiritual feelings

Blue, purple, silvery-gold

Blue for truth, purple for spirituality, silvery-gold for purity

Key distinction: Bright red-orange is NOT anger — it's vibrant life force. Anger is dark red. The quality of the color denotes the emotion.

Performers & Audiences

When someone sings, their aura expands and brightens. Lightning-like flashes of iridescent blue-violet move off after each inhale. Great arcs of light reach from performer to audience, and mutual forms build as feelings flow between them. The applause at the end acts as an eraser, wiping the field clean for the next creation.

When someone lectures on their favorite subject, the aura becomes yellow-gold with silvery-gold or iridescent blue sparks. The speaker-audience phenomenon occurs with emphasis on mental energies. Those who listen pick up some of the speaker's color through harmonious induction.

Effects of Drugs on the Aura

Drugs like LSD, marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol are detrimental to brilliant, healthy aura colors. They create "etheric mucus" — sticky, gray, stagnant energy that clogs the field.

Cocaine

Creates gray, sticky etheric mucus on the side of the face/head used for snorting. Repeated use leaves the field clogged and undercharged.

LSD + Alcohol

Field becomes dirty greenish-brown. Undifferentiated, withheld feelings of anger, envy, and pain appear as dark, mixed spots that need energetic cleansing to separate and release.

LSD + Marijuana

Creates waste products that appear to have weight — the person holds their head at an angle to balance the form. Requires fasting and cleansing diet to dissipate.

Apparent Weight in the Aura

Energy blocks can have "apparent weight." One client released anger in a session, then came back the next week with a large blob of mucus on top of her head. When she bent forward, the mucus sprang forward two and a half feet, making her fall. When she straightened, it snapped back like elastic.

Aikido exercise: Have two people try to pick you up. First, focus your energy upward (easier to lift). Then, grow roots into the earth (harder to lift). This demonstrates how your field's focus affects physical weight.

Dissociated Thought Forms

Brennan observed "moving spaces of reality" — groups of thought forms containing conceptions and misconceptions about reality. Each thought form has its own definition: "all men are cruel," "love is weak," "being in control is safe."

These forms are energetic, observable realities that radiate colors at various intensities. They're created and maintained by habitual thoughts. The more definite the thoughts, the more definite the form.

Thought forms gain energy through habitual semi-conscious thoughts and by attracting similar thoughts from others. When enough energy accumulates (critical mass), the form is triggered and the person falls into a state of being "dumb, unworthy, ugly" — until the energy dissipates.

Breaking Dissociated Forms

To break out of a cyclical thought pattern:

  1. Express and release the feelings associated with the thoughts
  2. Bring the form to consciousness — see the overall picture
  3. Create an inner objective observer who can define each "space" as you enter/exit
  4. Hold one thought with strong emotional content long enough to express the emotion
  5. Break through to the deeper pain underneath the form

As personal growth continues, negative aspects transform into positive functions and integrate into the normal aura as formless, clear, bright colors.

The Susan Case Study

Susan came in cheerful, throwing up pink and white "happiness" clouds — but this masked deeper feelings. Her field showed a dark gray block in the solar plexus (fear), a lighter gray in the forehead (mental confusion), and red emotional pain in the heart.

The pink happiness cloud was literally covering the gray problem in her head. When Brennan described what she saw, Susan stopped creating the false cloud. Her composure changed to fear and emotional pain — her mother was hospitalized with a possible serious disease.

Through grounding exercises (moving pelvic energy down the legs), releasing heart pain through crying, and bodywork on the solar plexus block, Susan's field gradually cleared. The dark spot in the solar plexus lightened and spread but took a long time to fully release — it contained major life issues.

The Connection to Illness

We stop our feelings by blocking energy flow. This creates stagnated pools of energy which, when held long enough, lead to disease in the physical body. The connection between therapy and healing becomes obvious when disease is seen this way — there is no separation between body, mind, emotions, and spirit. All must be in balance for health.
