Auditory Perception & the Cone of Perception

How to receive spiritual guidance through hearing, the seven chakra senses, and Heyoan's metaphor of the cone of perception — how expanding perception dissolves the veil between spiritual and material.

Sitting for Guidance

The best way to enhance High Auditory Perception is to sit for guidance:

  1. Take pencil and paper. Sit in a comfortable meditative position.
  2. Center yourself and lift your consciousness.
  3. Formulate a question as clearly as you can. Focus on wanting to know the truth, no matter the answer.
  4. Write the question on the paper. Set the pen down within reach.
  5. Silence the mind. Wait for an answer.
  6. After some time, you'll begin to receive — pictures, feelings, general concepts, words, or smells.
  7. Write down everything, no matter how irrelevant it seems. Don't leave anything out.
  8. The writing will orient the information to sounds. Focus on hearing the words directly.

After doing this every morning at sunrise for three months, Brennan's verbal information came so fast she couldn't write enough. The voice suggested a typewriter, then a tape recorder, then speaking aloud to groups.

The Experience of Channelling

Brennan's internal experience of channelling verbally:

  1. Sit cross-legged, palms down on thighs. Center kinesthetically — build a strong energetic foundation around the lower half.
  2. Begin to lift consciousness — kinesthetically feeling it raise, visually focusing upward into the light. Turn palms upward.
  3. At a certain point, contact with the guide is made. Feel it kinesthetically. See the guide behind the right shoulder. Hear the first few words from that direction.
  4. When ready, lift hands and hold fingertips together in front of the solar plexus or heart. This balances the energy field.
  5. Words first come from the right shoulder area. As connection deepens, they move closer — eventually from above and inside the head.
  6. The guide visually fits over you like a glove. Begins to move your arms and hands in coordination with conversation.
  7. Your personality self floats off and above, listening and watching — while also feeling merged with the guide.
  8. At the end, the guide lightly disconnects and lifts off. Your consciousness sinks back into your body.

It is the experience of light, love, and serenity that confirms your connection to the guides. If you don't have it, you're most likely not connected.

Who Is Heyoan?

When Brennan asked the voice who was talking, it said: "My name is Heyoan, your spiritual guide."

"Heyoan" means "The Wind Whispering Truth Through the Centuries." He comes from Kenya. Each person has several guides who stay throughout many lifetimes, plus teacher-guides who come during specific learning periods. Brennan later learned that she and Heyoan are one — they share the same core star. You are the incarnation of your oversoul in this lifetime.

The Seven Chakra Senses

Each chakra accesses a different type of information. The kind you receive through each is different:

Chakra 7 (Crown)

Knowing

Receiving a whole concept that goes beyond all senses

Meditation: "Be still and know that I am God"

Chakra 6 (Third Eye)

Seeing

Seeing clear pictures, symbolic or literal

Meditation: Messianic/Christ Consciousness

Chakra 5 (Throat)

Hearing/Speaking

Hearing sounds, words, music. Also taste and smell

Meditation: Sounding, Listening

Chakra 4 (Heart)

Loving

A sense of loving another — sensing love's quality and quantity

Meditation: Rose light of love; Love a flower

Chakra 3 (Solar Plexus)

Intuition

Vague sense of knowing — size, shape, intent of a being

Meditation: One-pointedness of mind

Chakra 2 (Sacral)

Emotional

Emotional feeling — joy, fear, anger

Meditation: Peaceful sense of well-being

Chakra 1 (Base)

Touch/Kinesthetic

Feeling of balance, shivers, energy running, physical pleasure/pain

Meditation: Walking meditation, Touching, Deep relaxation

Distinguishing the Senses

We normally don't distinguish between the kinesthetic sense, feeling, and intuition — but they are very different:

  • • Kinesthetic (1st chakra): Physical sensations in your body — balance, shivers, pain, pleasure
  • • Emotional (2nd chakra): Feelings like joy, fear, anger
  • • Intuition (3rd chakra): A vague sense of knowing — not specific, but sensing presence, shape, intent
  • • Loving (4th chakra): Not normally called a "sense," but it is — sensing another's love and quality
  • • Hearing (5th chakra): Sounds, words, music, taste, smell
  • • Seeing (6th chakra): Pictures — symbolic or literal
  • • Knowing (7th chakra): Whole concepts that go beyond all senses

Perceiving on Different Levels

To perceive on any auric level, the chakra through which you wish to perceive must be opened on that level. To see the first auric layer, open your 6th chakra on the first level. To see the second layer, open the 6th chakra on the second level.

Opening chakras above the fourth means you'll start perceiving beings on other planes. This is disruptive at first. You must choose between conversations with physical people and listening to guides talking at the same time.

To open higher levels, you must raise your vibrational rate through purification work — keeping your field clear and highly charged. Each increase knocks loose blocks that take you through buried experiences.

Meditations for Each Auric Level

1st Layer (Etheric)

Walking meditation, touching, deep relaxation

2nd Layer (Emotional)

Meditate on a peaceful sense of well-being

3rd Layer (Mental)

One-pointedness of mind exercises

4th Layer (Astral)

Meditate on the rose light of love. Focus on loving a flower.

5th Layer (Etheric Template)

Sounding or listening meditations

6th Layer (Celestial)

Meditate on becoming one with the Messianic/Christ Consciousness

7th Layer (Ketheric)

Use the mantra: "Be still and know that I am God"

Heyoan's Cone of Perception

Each of us has a cone of perception through which we perceive reality — a frequency range. Everything inside the cone we accept as real; everything outside isn't real. If we can't perceive it, it doesn't exist.

Each time we build a new instrument (microscope, telescope), our cone expands and more things become real. HSP does the same thing — the instrument is our own body and energy system. As we perceive more through HSP, more becomes real.

The bell-shaped curve of perception can be mapped to the Buddhist concept of Maya (the manifest world of illusion) and Brahman (the unmanifest reality beneath). Maya lies within our cone; Brahman lies outside.

The Two Veils

The line of the bell-shaped curve is the veil — and there are two veils that are actually the same:

  • • The veil between the spiritual and material worlds
  • • The veil between who we think we are and who we really are

It is also the veil between what we call life and death. When we know we are spirit, we do not cease to live at death — we simply leave our physical body.

"Healing is ultimately dissolving the veil between the spiritual and material worlds."

The Holy of Holies

In a meditation, Heyoan led Brennan through higher and higher realms — each more magnificent, each harder to perceive, each becoming apparently thinner and of less form. They reached the door of the Holy of Holies, where every human longs to enter.

"Healing is opening the doors of perception so that one can enter into the Holy of Holies and be one with the Creator. It is nothing more, nothing less. Enlightenment is the goal; healing is a by-product."

Whenever someone comes to you for help, their words come through their doorway of perception. What needs to be given is simply this: the answer to the longing of the soul. The soul is saying, "Help me find my way back home."

Self-Review

From Chapter 19 & 20:

  1. Are you primarily visual, auditory, or kinesthetic?
  2. What is a good way to learn High Auditory Perception?
  3. Describe the sense associated with each of the seven chakras.
  4. How would your life be different if you sought and followed guidance more?
  5. What are your main resistances to actively seeking guidance?
  6. Explain the concept of the cone of perception.
  7. What is the relationship between your inner wall of fear, the wall between who you think you are and who you really are, the veil between spiritual and material worlds, and the veil between life and death?

Expanding Your Cone of Perception

0/6

Are you visual, auditory, or kinesthetic?

Strengthen your natural channel first

Expand to other perception channels

Open perception to each layer

Purify your field

Perceive beyond ordinary reality

Reflect

How does your auditory perception of energy feel? What sounds or tones do you sense during healing or meditation?
